The Feathers of Wisdom: Quest for True Freedom

Once upon a time, there was a man who was desperately seeking answers, so he went to seek guidance from a wise sage. His heart was filled with negative thoughts, and he felt deeply frustrated and sorrowful. The burden of negativity left him exhausted, and he lost his enthusiasm for life. In search of direction, he turned to the wise sage for help.

The man poured out his heart and asked the sage, "What's wrong with me? What should I do?"

In response, a feather gently floated down from the sky and landed in the man's open palm.

The sage asked, "Is it heavy?"

The man replied, "No, it's light."

Then, the sky filled with numerous feathers, descending like a soft waterfall.

The sage asked again, "Are they heavy?"

The man repeated, "No, they are light."

Next, the sage produced a pillow and placed it in the man's hands.

The sage asked once more, "Is it heavy?"

The man acknowledged, "Yes, it is heavy."

The man had an enlightening realization: the feathers symbolized thoughts, and there was no good or bad thoughts. When a thought emerged, all he needed to do was gently flick it away, and it would dissipate. However, if he held onto too many thoughts, clutching them tightly like a pillow, seeking comfort, and refusing to release them, they would become burdens he could not escape.

The key was to observe thoughts like feathers gracefully falling and then release them gently. Thoughts had power only if he clung to them, identified with them, and let them consume his mind. By resisting this attachment, he could liberate himself from the confines of his own thoughts.

He took control of his mind, free from the weight of thoughts, finding inner peace by embracing the present with a feather-light attitude. Guided by the sage's wisdom and the gentle feathers, he set forth on a journey towards fulfillment and freedom.
